The Code Factory launches co-working, business accelerator in Ottawa

The Code Factory Logo

From Alec Saunders comes word that The Code Factory has launched in Ottawa.

I got a note from Ian Graham over the weekend to say that theCodeFactory, Ottawa’s first co-working space and business accelerator has a home. The lease is signed, first and last months rent paid and it is full steam ahead. The space is located at 246 Queen Street, between Bank and Kent, above the Green Papaya restaurant. The fourth floor is intended for early stage software teams of 1 – 7 people and the second floor is a true co-working space.

I lived just a few blocks from that location when I was in Ottawa for 4 years, and it’s definitely a cool area of downtown with an excellent vibe. More of these new-style co-working and startup spaces can only be better for cities all across Canada. Check out Ian Graham’s blog for more background info. Congrats, Ian! Can’t wait to check it out next time I’m in Ottawa.

    Thank you for the post.

Please feel free to drop by next time you are in Ottawa. The fourth floor (team based space) should be open before the end of the month and the second floor (co-working space) should be open in 4 – 8 weeks.

    cheers,

    Ian Graham
